The 18th Annual Physical Therapy Education Leadership Conference, or ELC 2023, themed "Pursuing Excellence and Innovation in Physical Therapy Education" is taking place in the historic city of Philadelphia, PA, from October 13-15, 2023.
ELC 2023 stands as a collaborative initiative between The APTA Academy of Education (The Academy) and the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT), with a primary goal of fostering excitement, education, and invigorating discussions among all stakeholders invested in physical therapy education. Our shared dedication to the pursuit of excellence in physical therapy education, coupled with the active involvement of each of you -- encompassing PT and PTA program directors, chairs, educators, clinical education directors, clinical instructors, site coordinators of clinical education, faculty members, and residency/fellowship educators -- forms the cornerstone of the conference's success.
Designed as an intimate gathering, (the ONLY national conference dedicated solely to PT education!), ELC offers numerous opportunities to unwind and engage in collaborative dialogues, providing a platform to connect with fellow physical therapy educators hailing from all corners of the nation. Furthermore, attendees can take advantage of interactions with our esteemed exhibitors and sponsors.

CEU Information
ELC 2023 attendance is equivalent to 1.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) (14 contact hours); this amount will be reflected on your certificate of participation. All states have been approved for CEU credit for the ELC 2023 conference including Ohio.
While we are able to confirm your conference registration, we are not able to confirm your attendance at specific sessions. For information on continuing education requirements and procedures in your state, visit APTA's webpage for state practice acts (www.apta.org/Licensure/StatePracticeActs/).
Course content is not intended for use outside the scope of the learner's license or regulation. Clinical CEUs should not be taken by individuals who are not licensed or otherwise regulated, except if they are involved in a specific plan of care.
Accessing Your Continuing Education Certificate
Continuing Education Certificates for ELC 2023 will be distributed through APTA's Learning Center after November 15, 2023. To access your certificate, please follow the instructions below:
- Login to https://learningcenter.apta.org
- If you do not know your login information, please contact member services at 800/999-2782 or membersuccess@apta.org. Typically, your user ID will be your APTA member ID or email address. If you do not remember your password, please use the Forgot Password link.
- Select Dashboard on the left navigation menu.
- Select "Education Leadership Conference - 2023"
- After successfully completing the evaluation, you may download your certificate by selecting Claim Contact Hours.
