Professional Bio

A life-long Kentucky resident, Angie received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Centre College in 2000. She then received a dual degree - Bachelors of Health Science and Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Kentucky in 2003. Angie has worked in a variety of settings incorporating her experiences in outpatient private practice from 2003-2012 with MDT and ErgoScience Certification into a love for the complexity of acute care, ICU care and transplant patients at UK HealthCare from 2012-2022. At UK, Angie was the initial clinical pair of the institutional-clinician pairing to the NCCE from the inception of the clinical pairing. She has served as expert to the Task-Force for Payment for Clinical Education Experience, remains a member of the Reaction Panel for the ELP providing feedback on the core competencies for clinical education document, has served as an invited panel member to the ACAPT Leadership Summit Change Leadership: Leading for change, leading with change, and leading due to change. Representing leadership in crisis. She wrote a blog post for the Ohio-Kentucky Consortium of Physical Therapy programs on "The Evolution of the Clinical Educator" and was named co-preceptor of the year at UK, College of health Sciences Division of PT in 2017. She has precepted all levels of PT students and volunteers throughout her career.
