Professional Bio
Since 2015, she has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of physical therapy, University of Miami. Her clinical expertise is in orthopedics and her current research is focused on outcome measures and knee injuries. The most recent areas under investigation are: appropriate outcome measures for patients recovering from meniscus injury as well as the difference in recovery post-meniscectomy between individuals with degenerative and non-degenerative tears, reliability and validity of clinical measures for identifying adolescent athletes who are at risk for ACL injury, the incidence and prevalence of OA and meniscus tears in construction workers, and the use of real time ultrasound in physical therapy.
