Professional Bio

Dr. Prokop is the Director of Student Affairs and an Associate Clinical Professor in the School of Physical Therapy at Bowling Green State University. She began practicing physical therapy after graduating with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 2006. Her clinical area of expertise is in pediatric sports medicine, and she is passionate about helping athletes achieve their fullest potential through injury prevention and performance enhancement. Dr. Prokop graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2017 with a Doctorate in Education and has since been dedicating her scholarly agenda to investigating the impact of metacognition on clinical reasoning in health profession. Dr. Prokop is enthusiastic about helping student physical therapists develop effective clinical reasoning. Dr. Prokop has presented her research at numerous local and national conferences and has published her work in various textbooks and peer-reviewed journals. She is an active researcher in the areas of clinical reasoning and master adaptive learner development.
