Professional Bio

Dr. Will Conrad holds two bachelor of science degrees from Purdue University (Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition/Fitness/Health, 1995), a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences (2004), a master’s degree from Pennsylvania Western University (Exercise Science & Health Promotion: Rehabilitation Science track (2007)), and a Doctor of Education degree (EdD) from University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences (2016). His doctoral dissertation investigated the effectiveness of Team-Based learning to enhance learning/comprehension in Applied Anatomy and as a mode of inter-professional education with Doctoral Physical and Occupational Therapy students.

Dr. Conrad is currently an Associate Professor at the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education and has teaching responsibilities in the basic sciences and related content (Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics/Kinesiology, Cardiopulmonary and Lymphedema).

In addition to holding a full-time faculty position since 2006, Dr. Conrad has worked clinically in the areas of out-patient orthopedics, acute-care, and home health physical therapy.

Dr. Conrad has published and/or presented in the areas of Anatomy/Biomechanics, Women’s Health, and Teaching & Learning as it relates to anatomy education at both state and national Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy conferences as well as teaching/education conferences. Dr. Conrad has also co-authored an Anatomy Synopsis series of six online textbooks (and one biomechanics text). Dr. Conrad is currently investigating the relationship of spatial aptitude as it relates to the understanding of Anatomy.

Dr. Conrad proudly serves as the current Chair of the Anatomy Educators SIG and on the Board of the APTA Academy of Education. He has been a member of the APTA as a physical therapist for 18 years.
