Professional Bio

Dr. Davis joined the faculty at Emory University in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in 2008. She currently coordinates and teaches the Health Services and Management, Professional Leadership and Development, Administration and Consultation in Healthcare, and Business Management for the Physical Therapist Entrepreneur courses. Her research focuses on interprofessional education and collaborative practice for facilitators and students with an interest in faculty and clinical instructor development. Her scholarship emphasizes collaboration with physical therapy and interdisciplinary colleagues at Emory and other institutions to improve development and evaluation of interprofessional education and practice. Dr. Davis regularly presents at national conferences on the topics of interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPECP). She is a founding member of the National Interprofessional Education and Collaboration (NIPEC) consortium and a Fellow of the National Academies of Practice (NAP). Dr. Davis is a founding Planning Team member of Emory’s Interprofessional Team Training Program which began in 2008, and she is a member of Emory’s Woodruff Health Science Center IPECP Council.
Dr. Davis received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (’93), Master of Physical Therapy from Emory University (’97), Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University with a concentration in Marketing (’02), and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Emory University (’03).
