Lisa Renee Koperna

Lisa R. Koperna, PT, DPT, PhD, ATC, Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist is Director of ODU Monarch Physical Therapy, and Assistant Professor in the College of Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. She has over 20 years of leadership experience that she has leveraged to launch successful physical therapy clinics, inspire organizational change, and create stimulating, practical, learning environments for her students in academic and clinical settings. Dr. Koperna holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Master of Science in Education from ODU, Master and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University, and Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Walden University. Her research interests include technology in rehabilitation, interprofessional healthcare practice and education models.
