Creighton University, a Catholic and Jesuit institution, is actively seeking applications for a full time (12 month) faculty position in our top 10 nationally ranked Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Omaha, Nebraska. You will join visionary national and international leaders in the profession committed to innovation and excellence in education, pursuing research to advance the health of society and practice, and serving the community within the Jesuit tradition. The DPT program supports six accredited clinical residencies, a clinical practice, and diverse research agendas in multiple areas of scholarship, including a successful platform of education research. Teaching & Educational Responsibilities:
• Teach courses in the DPT curriculum in areas of department need that align with experience/expertise, as agreed upon with the Program Chair, DPT Program.  Our priority for this position is for a faculty member with expertise in the following areas:
o Pain science (collaborates with faculty IOR’s to integrate pain science and management into the curriculum)
o Integrated Laboratory (collaborates with faculty IOR’s to integrate knowledge and skills)
• Communicates effectively with Omaha and Phoenix faculty to ensure optimal learning experiences for students
• Performs core faculty responsibilities to include teaching, scholarly activities, and service
Service/Clinical Practice Responsibilities: Refer to the appropriate rank within the Faculty Handbook.  Clinical practice hours to maintain specialty certification are supported as negotiated with the Program Chair, DPT Program.
Scholarship Responsibilities: Refer to the appropriate rank within the Faculty Handbook.  As per CAPTE accreditation standards, core faculty are expected to maintain scholarly activity. 


Qualifications
• Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Nebraska
• Preference will be given to individuals with a minimum of three years of experience in clinical education, academic teaching and/or curriculum development in a physical therapy program.
• Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
• Preferred specialty certification
• Preferred completion of an academic doctorate degree 
• Candidate must also possess effective communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
