The Department of Physical Therapy Education at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, invites applications from qualified candidates to join our core faculty in an open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full) Professor full-time, 12-month, tenure eligible position. Teaching responsibilities will include course development and instruction of didactic courses in musculoskeletal content. Research activities will include implementation of a rigorous research agenda, dissemination of research findings, and student mentorship. Service activity will be consistent with the mission of Upstate Medical University, the College of Health Professions (CHP), and the Department of Physical Therapy Education.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
- New York State Physical Therapy License or eligible
- Academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, DSc required), ABD will also be considered
- Contemporary clinical expertise The preferred candidate will have clinical and teaching expertise in kinesiology, orthopedics and/or anatomy, an established scholarly agenda with extramural research funding, a proven track record of excellence in an academic position and professional leadership experience.
